I’ve been meaning to compare my previous job with my current job for a while… I think I’ll do it now…

New Job:

  • No preshift stretching. And I haven’t hurt my back.
  • No anti-cut gloves. And I haven’t cut myself.
  • No metal detector… so I can bring my phone into the warehouse.
  • No write up for being 01 second(s) late…

Anyway, I’m part of the Craft Etc. Inventory Control (IC) team… there’s five of us now, including our “team leader.” I should be going to overstock counting soon, as soon as they can get me into a class to get me certified for the scissor lift. That way, I’ll move from being one of four in the warehouse (1/4 cycle counters) to one of one! I’m going to be soooooo special!!!!! I’m kinda looking forward to it; they said I might get a pay raise, but I’m not really counting on it. Wouldn’t mind, of course, but not counting on it. I think that’s all; I’ll try to be back soon(er.)

  • What are the odds of Bro. VanManen picking the same exact hymn that I was going to sign for my special and sing it in chapel for the congregational? Too good, I guess, ’cause it happened.
  • I’ve really had it with all the freezing rain. Enough, already!
  • Taking 10 hours a semester is pretty neat… I should have tried it sooner!

Here are some highlights from this weeks “boring preacher.”

  • People do not reject salvation because a lack of information but a lack of inclination.
  • It’s not that we don’t love people, we love the truth.
  • If the literal makes sense, seek no other sense, lest you have nonsense.
  • The Hebrews worshiped on Saturday because God rested on the seventh day after creating everything. We worship on Sunday, because God did something greater than creation – salvation.
  • God has to have an adversary.
  • The Bible clarifies not clouds.
  • Evangelicalism is so soft on the edges that there are no walls.
  • It is His day, not just morning. (Church Sunday morning and Sunday night.)
  • I like the label and the contents to be right.
  • Bad doctrines will cause people to do stupid things.
  • God can judge the earth because He made it.
  • You educate a bunch of devils, you have a bunch of educated devils.

It’s amazing, but I’m almost done. Ten credit hours left! Yeah! I’d write more, but I’m in a hurry. I should have more time this semester… I’ve never taken so few hours before. :D
