The Secret Place

Monday, July 30th, 2007

Sang this Sunday night in choir:

I found a secret place
Of comfort and release
A special place of healing
A quiet place of peace
And everyone who dwells there
Finds rest beneath God’s wings
In the shade of His pavilion
New strength He always brings.

Chorus:

I find hope, I find grace
Far away from the world’s embrace
He gives me rest, He keeps me safe
I find His strength I seek His face
In the secret place.

With every trial He brings
My Lord will make a way
To strengthen and protect me
To help me face each day.
He leads me through the valley
To draw me closer still
Knowing even in the shadows
I find His perfect will.

Short, legal sample available sometime soon – probably today.

Thanks, sister.

I’m full of great ideas, if someone would just listen.

The high school I graduated from is “prepared to launch” their web site.

Wow, I was suggesting that in, oh, late 2003?

Guess I’m just head of my time…

around town

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

Went bus calling today. Saw a car from:

  • Iowa.
  • Florida.
  • Iowa, again.
  • And Oklahoma.

I’m not sure which would be more odd: that I saw two cars from Iowa, or that it might have been the same one twice.

The Oklahoma car has an OU sticker on it, and it looked like it was very much from the SW side of town, if you know what I mean. ;)

Speaking of cars, my dad replaced the bumper on mine:

My car

Nice!

learning, learning…

SELECT DISTINCT.

If only I had known a few months ago.

$cid = array_search($church, $together);

Beautiful. I can’t believe I finally pulled it off. Only took me, oh, 30 minutes to write/edit 6 lines of code. Talk about efficiency. :D

FOR SALE

Thursday, July 26th, 2007

Tomorrow marks a momentous occasion:

The PA and Dubay “Sports Abyss” comes to a close as the Vikings finally begin training camp.

Yawn.

Also, Dan Cole the Common Man will begin selling hope for the 2007-08 Vikings season.

Speaking of the Common Man, probably half of his show today consisted of “It is so hot” jokes, with emailers/callers also chiming in. Some of my favorites:

  • It’s so hot I saw the devil down at Menards buying an air conditioner.
  • It’s so hot Minnesota sports fans are taking the paper bags off their heads.
  • It’s so hot I saw a funeral procession pull into a Dairy Queen.
  • It’s so hot Rondel (sp?) White goes back on the disabled list for breaking a sweat.
  • It’s so hot people are buying Lynx tickets to get out of the heat and into the air conditioned Target Center.

hahaha. weak.

I should just get the tshirt: “Social Engineer / Because there is no patch for human stupidity.”

Once again, passwords are just a minor inconvenience.

I still didn’t find what I was looking for. :(

Cross.

Drop.

Man on.

Send me.

Switch.

One more.

The sounds of soccer. I miss those good, high school soccer games. Probably because soccer meant start of school and fall. I really miss the northern fall. Been stuck in OKC the past few autumns… pesky.

Milestone

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007

The Ambassador and Melody sites passed 1,000 visits for the month yesterday.

Nice.

For some reason, the Melodies are destroying the Ambassadors in bandwidth. Kinda odd – I’m not sure why. Probably because they have almost twice as many hits on JPGs (ie, photos.)

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!
