Well, let’s see:
Thursday
Get out the brooms… San Antonio Spurs (West) swept the hapless Cleveland Cavaliers (East) out of the finals in what PA called the most uninteresting NBA Finals since, oh, mid 70’s when he started watching ball. Neither the NBA or NHL playoffs did well with TV ratings. The NHL had a game on NBC that was NBC’s lowest rated show ever. Ouch.
In a less-notable sweep, at least less-notable nationwide, the Twins swept the Braves out of town. AL usually beats up on the NL in inter-league play. It was rematch of the ‘91 World Series, which, I found out, is considered one of the if not the best World Series in MLB history. Wow. Didn’t know that. You can listen to PA and Dubay talk about it if you wish.
We now enter the Sports Abyss on the PA and Dubay show until NFL training camp starts.
Friday
Almost took my first ever spill off of a roof. I stopped to think about it and decided to pass. I slid about three feet – not much, but it was only about six feet to the edge. I’m sure the ten foot drop wouldn’t have killed me, but it didn’t interest me much either.
Ah, nothing like a short little twelve hour work day to kick off the weekend. Just think about all the money I’m making…
History
Well, I’m not sure if it was this exact week, but the Ambassadors and Melodies were at camp this week. This week, two years ago, the 2005 Ambassadors lost their piano player. I can still remember the look on John’s face. The piano player (he’ll go unnamed) wrote farewell notes to most if not all of the other guys, but not to me. I wasn’t disappointed at all.
Done
I think I’m done. Oh, for those of you who don’t know, you can comment on stuff. I know it’s boring, but you took the time to read it. Your fault, not mine.
