so i updated the college and school sites today, and found more server configuration errors. yay. usually wouldn’t be a big deal, except i don’t have access to the server. that makes it a bit more interesting.

well, it was here before, but it’s here now, again…

i found out that PHP 4.x doesn’t include mysqli, and PHP 5.x includes mysqli but it isn’t enabled by default. MySQL < 4.1 uses mysql, whereas MySQL => 4.1 uses mysqli. blah blah. i finally got mysql 5.0.24 something and php 5.x to work with apache 2 and phpmyadmin 2.9 something. yay. it really shouldn’t have taken 5 hours, though.
